Time to put our theology into practice
What would it look like if we really were changed? I mean, if we are saved why are our actions still the same? I love the redemptive work of Jesus Christ in our lives and I love what he's doing on the inside, but what about the outside? I want to start caring for people outside my comfort zone. I want to care for people I hardly know. I want to give without conditions and love without selfish ambitions. There is so much need within our communities that we forget that everyone needs god's love in practical ways. It's as if we live in a foggy haze and ignore those who need help the most. I know we're not perfect, but that shouldn't be our cop out. We should love with the power of Christ to cast out the spirit of doubt in this world that Christians are no better than the rest of the world. That Christians merely worship on Sundays and live their lives however they please during the week. Be ye not conformed to the world, but transformed. Lets be transformed everyone. Lets be something better than normal. Lets cast aside all that hinders us and let's take up our crosses and follow him. It might be into the darkness, but perfect love casts out fear, and we know that wherever we go our savior is near. We must be Christians, people who bear christ's name. Our lives are not our own. We are not the same. We have been bought with a price so now we surrender our lives to the betterment of those around us. It's all for the one who saved us.
