Let hope rise

Let hope rise. Darkness fade and let the light shine through. 

God, we need more of you. This world is in desperate need of your love. Come and show us what it's all about. 

Lord, give us a touch. A taste. A glimmer. A glimpse of your great affection for us. 

We need it. We need your Holy Spirit. So come Lord. Come like a wind and refresh us again. 

Move upon this earth. Move upon this place. We want to see your face. Show us your glory, God, just like Moses. We want to see your majesty.

 Like the disciples did. We want to see the greatness of your divinity. We want to see you for all that you are. But we just want to see you. 

We want an encounter with our Lord and Savior. Jesus, Jesus. Our hearts yearn for you. Our souls cry out in desperation for a meeting with the King. 

God, we need a taste of your presence to wash away all the pains and sorrows and hurts of this world. We need your arms to wrap around us in love. 

Take us under your wing. Take us into your loving hands. Jesus, we don't always say how much we need you. We don't always recognize the depth of our calamities. 

But come. 

Come in great and mighty ways and display your matchless grace upon this land. Our hearts need you. Our bodies need you. Our minds need you. 

God, come. 

Take away all this hurt and pain. Take away how bad this world has wronged us. Redeem us. Reconcile us. Restore us. We're not looking for an out or an escape. 

We're looking to our lord and savior to make a way for justice to roll. Let it flow. Let it flow. God, let your goodness fall on this earth. Let us hope again.
