I'm chasing after You knowing that You will satisfy my thirst

You are the Living Water

You are the One who gives life

And sustains it

And makes it better than it was before

I've gone down other roads and walked other ways, but now that I've opened up my door to You

Things are looking up

Old things are becoming new

You have ravished my heart

You have ruined me and I'll never be the same again

I finally know what love is

I thought that I had known it before, seen it before, or at least heard of it before

But no.

Those were just human versions of love

The greatest love that I have every seen or touched or felt is the one given by You

You've just given me a touch of it

It's not even the fullness of it

But it seems like so much

It's probably not even the fullness of the love that You can offer

And maybe I couldn't even handle the fullness of it

But I'm so glad that You gave me just a glimpse of Your glory

I'm so happy that You have called me, "Beloved"

I was beaten and bruised and destroyed and abandoned by the world

But You turned it all around

Your love conquered it all

It cast out my fears and worries and anxieties and agitations

God, You really just changed my whole life

And I thought that I had been okay before

I thought that I had life figured out

I thought that I at least knew what I was doing

But You had other things brewing

You were waiting for the perfect opportunity to reveal Yourself to me

You were withholding Yourself from me because I couldn't handle it before

I still don't think I can handle You, but at least I have gotten a touch

And maybe that's enough

Come and consume all of me

I want You

I want Your love

More of it

More and more

Sustain me

And create in me a pure heart

One that loves like You love
